World War I pay record book belonging to Charles Wick, a Sheboygan, Wisconsin, resident who served with Company C, 127th Infantry Regiment, 32nd Infantry Division, and Company E, 338th Infantry, 85th Infantry Division. The pay book includes a record of payments received for service from 1917 to 1918. Wick was severely wounded in early July, 1918, but he recovered and saw action during the Second Battle of the Marne, and the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. In February 1919, he was transferred to the 338th Infantry, and served until his discharge later that year. After the war, he returned to Sheboygan, and worked as a barber until his death in 1965. He is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Plymouth, Wisconsin.
